Vancouver Counterbalance Forklift Training - Demand is always high for our popular Counterbalance Forklift Truck Training courses. A Counterbalance forklift is a forklift with a weight which counters the balance, allowing the load's weight to be spread evenly across the forklift arms. Counterbalance forklifts are designed so the weight on the lift is counterbalanced by the weight behind the centre of gravity. The load is projected out from the front of the machinery so it is visible to the driver of the forklift. This type of forklift truck should only be utilized on prepared surface or on level, stable ground.
Training is required for forklift drivers to understand the right method to spread the load equally across the arms of the forklift. Trainees would learn how to lower and raise the load vertically and how to tilt the mast of the forklift both forwards and backwards between 5 and 15 degrees. Trainees would be taught the RTITB standards required for safe forklift operation. Trainees will also know the types of attachments for the arms of the forklift.
