Pallet Stackers

Pallet stackers are a kind of pallet jack that can be utilized to stack, transfer and haul cargo positioned on a pallet that are far too burdensome for physical lifting. Mostly these mechanisms are used to load and unload supplies from trucks and to transport pallets from one site to another within a stockroom of stockroom space. Most pallet jacks are constructed of heavy duty materials to withstand tremendous weights. Pallet stackers are often identified as pallet jacks. They can be operated from a seated, upright or walk-behind position. Pallet jacks are separated into manual and powered styles.

Pallet jacks are normally comprised of a set of forks that are able to slide underneath a pallet, capable of raising to a desired height or moving it to a specific location. The engine section or casing houses the gas-run, electronic or hydraulic gear that powers the instrument.

Normally, pallet stackers come in walk-behind versions that are hand-powered. This means that they are moved by pushing and pulling the stacker into its preferred location, while lifting the heavy pallets can be operated hydraulically making this chore a great deal easier. Using a foot pedal or handle raises the stackerâ??s forks. Squeezing a lever or trigger returns the forks to the floor. These models of pallet stackers are perfect for lighter loads of up to approximately 1 ton or 907.18 kg.

Most jacks can accommodate the raising of extreme weights to around 5 tons with both the gas or electric models. They are physically less demanding to maneuver than the labor-intensive models due to the hydraulic power that lifts and lowers the forks. These styles are steered by turning the handle in a specific direction. There is a button on the handle that operates to raise and lower the forks. A throttle set up on the stackerâ??s handle moves the appliance forward and in reverse. This variety of equipment is commonly known as a lift truck and is used from a sit-down posture.

Selecting the right model of pallet stacker may be somewhat critical as designs will have varying lift functionality, together with varying fork widths. Some types of stackers may only allow two pallets to be loaded at one time, while other versions may be able to stack multiple pallets. Some types of these lift trucks include an adjustable fork so as to allow the jack to slide underneath pallets of atypical sizes and shapes. Several fork models can be quite effective when different varieties of pallets are being utilized in the same stockroom.
